Privacy Policy
Last updated: 1 October 2026
Kidzy (“Kidzy”, “we”, “us”, “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through kidzycanada.ca, why we collect it, how we store it, how long we keep it, and the choices you have.
This policy applies to our website and to the forms on it. It does not cover information collected once you become a client, which is governed separately by the agreement we enter into with you.
1. Who is responsible for your information
Kidzy is accountable for the personal information under our control.
Kidzy
2487 Kaladar Ave
Ottawa, Ontario K1V 8B9
Canada
Email: info@kidzycanada.ca
Questions, requests and complaints about privacy should go to info@kidzycanada.ca.
2. What we collect
2.1 Information you give us
This website has four forms. Each one collects only what it needs.
Get Started — first name, last name, email address, phone number, and your answers to seven multiple-choice questions about the kind of support you are looking for.
The seven questions ask about your preferences — how much help you want, how often you would like to speak with a coach, what you would like help with, what tends to get in the way, and what kind of commitment suits you. They are preference questions. We do not ask for, and you should not send us, medical information, diagnoses, weights, measurements, or any health records through this or any other form.
Contact — your name, email address, what you would like help with, and your message.
Workshop request — your name, email address, phone number, who you are requesting the session on behalf of (for example a school, a club or a community group), the kind of session you are interested in, and your message.
Newsletter — your email address, and nothing else.
Every form asks you to tick a consent box before it will send. If you contact us by email instead, we collect whatever you choose to include in your message.
2.2 Information collected automatically
When you submit a form, our server records:
- Your IP address
- The date and time of the submission
This is used only to prevent spam and automated abuse of the forms — to spot the same enquiry being sent repeatedly, and to limit how many submissions one sender can make in an hour. It is not used to profile you, track you across websites, or build an advertising audience.
2.3 What we do not collect
- We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. Our forms are intended to be completed by a parent, carer or other responsible adult.
- We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we run no analytics, advertising or social media tracking scripts of any kind.
- We do not load fonts or scripts from third-party servers on our public pages, so your visit is not reported to anyone else.
- We do not buy, rent or append personal information from any outside source.
- We do not collect payment information through this website.
3. Why we collect it
We collect your information for one purpose: to help you. Specifically, to:
- Understand what kind of support your family is looking for
- Respond to your request and answer your questions
- Recommend the Kidzy service that fits, if any does
- Keep a record of what you asked us, so you do not have to repeat yourself
We do not use your information for anything else. We do not sell it, rent it, trade it, or share it for anyone else’s marketing.
4. Your consent
By submitting a form on this website, you consent to Kidzy collecting and using the information above for the purposes described in section 3.
If we ever want to use your information for a new purpose, we will ask you first.
Marketing email is separate. We will only send you general Kidzy tips, resources or updates if you have specifically opted in. You can withdraw that consent at any time using the unsubscribe link in any such email, or by emailing info@kidzycanada.ca.
Withdrawing consent. You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing info@kidzycanada.ca. If you do, we will stop using your information and delete it, unless we are required by law to keep it. Withdrawing consent may mean we can no longer provide the service you asked about.
5. Who can see your information
Only Kidzy. Form submissions go to a Kidzy email address and are read only by Kidzy personnel who need to respond to you.
We do not send your information to any analytics platform, advertising network, CRM, marketing tool, or any other third-party service.
The only third party involved is our web host, described in section 6, which stores the data on our behalf and does not use it for its own purposes.
We will disclose personal information without your consent only where the law requires it — for example, in response to a valid court order, subpoena, warrant, or a lawful request from a government authority or regulator.
6. Where your information is stored
Our website and email are hosted by Hostinger, on servers located in the United States.
This means your personal information is stored outside Canada and, while it is there, may be accessible to United States courts, law enforcement and national security authorities under the laws of that country. This is true of most web hosting and is disclosed here so you can make an informed decision before submitting the form.
Kidzy remains accountable for your information regardless of where it is stored, and requires our host to protect it with comparable safeguards.
7. How long we keep it
We keep form submissions for a maximum of 12 months from the date you submit them, after which they are deleted.
We may keep information for less time than that, and we delete it sooner if you ask us to. If you become a Kidzy client, the information you provide as part of that relationship is kept under the terms of your client agreement instead.
Spam-prevention records, including IP addresses, are kept for a short period and then purged automatically.
8. How we protect it
We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, including:
- HTTPS encryption on every page of this website, with strict transport security enforced
- Encrypted transmission of form submissions
- Form submissions stored outside the public web directory, where they cannot be reached from the internet
- Credentials stored outside the public web directory, never in code
- Access limited to Kidzy personnel who need it
- Automated spam and abuse filtering on every form, including hidden-field and timing checks, duplicate detection and rate limiting
- Editing of site code from inside the administration area disabled, and uploads of executable files refused
- Account names not published by the website, and remote publishing interfaces switched off
No method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take these safeguards seriously and review them.
9. Your rights
Under Canadian privacy law you have the right to:
- Access — ask what personal information we hold about you and get a copy
- Correct — ask us to fix anything inaccurate or incomplete
- Delete — ask us to erase your information
- Withdraw consent — tell us to stop using your information
- Complain — raise a concern about how we handled your information
To exercise any of these, email info@kidzycanada.ca. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request, to make sure we are not giving your information to someone else.
There is no charge for a reasonable request.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.
10. Children
Kidzy’s services are for families. Our website and forms are intended to be used by parents, guardians and caregivers — not by children.
We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from a child. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, email info@kidzycanada.ca and we will delete it.
The form asks about the kind of support a family wants. It does not ask for a child’s name, age, weight, measurements, health information or photographs, and you should not provide any of those through it.
11. Cookies
This website does not use advertising, tracking or analytics cookies.
Our website software (WordPress) may set a small number of strictly necessary cookies required for the site to function — for example, to keep a form submission secure. These do not identify you and are not used to track you.
If we ever add analytics, we will update this policy and ask for your consent first.
12. Links to other websites
Our website may link to other organizations, resources or social media profiles. Once you follow a link, you are on their website and this policy no longer applies. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, and we encourage you to read their policies.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always posted here with the date it was last updated at the top.
If we make a change that materially affects how we handle information we already hold about you, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you.
